DPV Outreach and Streetscapes held a successful market day on 5 April  in the Streetscapes garden in Buitenkant Street.

At the gate, the Streetscapes stall, at the gate, sold the popular honey, fresh vegetables, and eggs, from Streetscapes gardens, as well as plants. Inside the garden, stallholders included Florence and her daughter Blessing with beautiful shweshwe bags, table cloths, backpacks and other items; Susanna with unusual handmade Easter creations; Titania with balms made from beeswax, coconut oil and South African olive oil; Marcelle and Lynette with glamorous second hand clothing and handmade jewellery; Megan with bric-a-brac from Nazareth House; and Thabo, one of the Streetscapes beneficiaries, with handmade vases and other homeware items. Marcelle also offered 10 minute massages and Brandon was on hand with his coffee cart and boerewors rolls.

The market is growing in popularity, so if you’d like to come and take a stall, please contact Melissa on market@dpvoutreach.org.za.

Our next market is on Saturday 3 May from 09:00 to 14:00.

Come and support our local vendors, have a cup of coffee and chat to other residents of our lovely area!
