DPV Outreach is fundraising to cover the stipends for three Streetscapes beneficiaries who are part of a small cleaning team working across Devil’s Peak and Vredehoek. Weather permitting, they are out and about every day keeping our streets and parks free from litter. They clean the gutters, weed pavements and keep paths clear of vegetation. It costs R450.00 a day for the team (R150 per person) but any contribution is much appreciated!

Refreshments (coffee, tea, milk, sugar, biscuits)
The first step in engaging with people on our streets is acknowledging them. Sitting down with a cup of coffee or tea and a snack breaks the ice in a friendly way.
Cell phone data to assist the cleaning team keep us informed where they are working.
Ad hoc expenses needed for the running of our organisation which includes printing of promotional posters, marketing and emergencies.

Donations in kind:
We welcome donations of clothing (especially for men), bedding and other household goods to help people who move off the streets into accommodation.
Toiletries, such as soap, a face cloth, toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, sanitary towels for the women – items many of us take for granted – are also much appreciated.
