Comment on the proposed management agreement for City-owned property in Vredehoek. The closing date for comments is the 6 October 2024.
The City of Cape Town is inviting comment on the proposed cooperative management agreement with Khulisa Social Solutions NPC (Streetscapes Community Projects) for the management of Erf 1788, Vredehoek which is a portion of the Rugley Road Park.
The aim with this management agreement is to regularise the existing community garden usage of this portion of Rugley Road by Streetscapes.
The City recognises the benefits and importance of involving local communities and regular users in the management, maintenance and security of community assets.
By entering into cooperative management agreements, we are promoting a sense of ownership, pride and communal responsibility. The agreement provides clear guidance on the rights, roles and responsibilities of users operating on communal facilities.
